“Providing care and education in a quality setting for children aged 3 to 5 years”

About Us
We are open five days per week, during term time only. Our morning sessions are from 9.00am-12.00pm and our extended sessions run from 9.00am-3.00pm. We do not operate a separate afternoon session. If you choose to attend an extended session then you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch as we are unable to provide meals.
If your child is eligible, you can use the government 3 and 4-year-old funding with us. You can share the 30- hour funding between the pre-school and another setting if needed. Your hours can also be used flexibly over a combination of full or half days (dependant on availability). We are a non-profit charity run organisation here to serve the families of the local community and as a result there are no extra hidden fees. If your child does not qualify for the government 15 or 30 hour funding our fees are £7.00 per hour. We take children from around their 3rd birthday.
We are eligible to receive the government grant for 2,3- and 4-year-olds; information about the grant can be found by clicking on the link below.
We have one main hall and a secure outside area which is fully accessible with ramped areas and hand rails to the front and rear. Our setting benefits from a well-established long standing experienced team (with employment spanning from 2 years to over 20 years) all of whom are committed to the pre-school.
We have seven members of staff in total; which helps us maintain a ratio of 1-4 children which is above that recommended for 3-5 years as we feel this enables us to give the children at the setting more individual time with the practitioners. Two members of staff have completed the Foundation Degree in Early Years and six of our practitioners currently hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications. Five of our practitioners currently hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications and we have another working towards their NVQ level 3.
All practitioners regularly attend training to update their knowledge. We have a named SENCo, Health and Safety Officer, Safeguarding Officer and PANCO(Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator). We receive support from the Early Years Inclusion Team and other agencies who visit regularly in support of children with additional needs.
